Earl Jones

Most of my friends know I don't like going to the hospital and when you are on hospice you aren't supposed to go to the hospital. But on the 6th I was unresponsive and the weather was really bad and there were tornadoes all over Tulsa. Due to the weather hospice told my husband to call 911. Fast forward a few hours...... I'm in the Emergency room and they came to get me for a MRI so they had just opened my curtain and doors when a gentleman walked by and seen Emmy (my daughter who by the way was very upset thinking I was going to die). He said "Hey, I got something for you!". He returned with a backpack filled with all types of goodies. This made Emmy smile. After I returned from my MRI Emmy explained what happened while I was gone and how it made her very happy. So, we asked the nurse if she knew him and she brought him to our room. We exchanged information and I am making him a gift basket to return his kindness. His story is similar to mine. His daughter does this and he decided it was a great thing and does this for many children in sad situations. His smile is contagious!!

He is the 1984 bronze medal winner for the 800 meter summer Olympics. His time was 1:43.83 minutes. He may have won the bronze in the Olympics but he deserves a gold medal for his amazing soul. I pray that God watches over him and keeps him safe because even small gestures like this restores your faith in this world. IF YOU ARE READING THIS EARL, THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND TILL WE MEET AGAIN SOON KEEP BEING AN ANGEL ON EARTH.
